The Hunt for Red October **SPECIAL RED TAPE EDITION**

Directed by John McTiernan of “Die Hard” and “Predator” fame, this is the opening salvo in a great early 90’s run of Jack Ryan flicks.

Jack Ryan may be Great Value James Bond, but in my opinion this movie, “Patriot Games,” and “Clear and Present Danger” are all complete bangers.

Does 90% of the cast fall under the category of “weird little guy?” Yes. Does the lead Russian character have a Scottish accent? Yes. Does any of this matter? Not really. This thing is simply too much fun.
